Many thanks for the kind invitation to participate in the world Emerging Industries Summit in China. Unfortunately, I am unable to attend.

It is encouraging to hear that the summit is themed “Innovation Leads to Development, Cooperation Creates the Future!” Innovation and cooperation are the best paths to providing a better future for the people of China, the United States, and the entire world.

The United States-China relationship is important not just for our two countries, but for the entire world. I look forward to our continued dialogue on the many important issues related to the United States-China relationship and to the results of your deliberations.
